Texas REP Promoting 1¢/kWh Power
A Texas retail electric provider is currently promoting 1¢/kWh power on an introductory basis.
Specifically, Acacia Energy, for one of its Power Bonus prepaid plans, is promoting an introductory energy rate of 1¢/kWh for the first 10 days of service. A pass-through of TDU charges also applies.
For days 11 to 20 of service, the energy rate will become 5¢/kWh, plus the TDU pass-through. After day 20, the energy rate will vary with normal market values
The Electricity Facts Labels lists the average all-in rate for the 1¢ Intro Power Bonus Product as 5.2¢/kWh at Oncor (at 1,000 kWh).
Customers are subject to a Daily Base Charge of 33¢ per day, and there is a Daily Minimum Usage Fee for usage under 16 kWh, equal to 35¢ per day
Customers receive $10 in free energy for each individual $150 payment they make, or $5 in free energy for each individual $75 payment they make.
