FirstEnergy-PA EDCs to See 25% Drop in Price to Compare on September 1

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania electric distribution companies have filed new tariffed PTC_Default rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting September 1, and the residential Prices to Compare will fall significantly at each.

The PTC_Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS).

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC_Default rate will be 7.362¢/kWh effective September 1, 25% lower than the current 9.753¢/kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC_Default rate will be 7.053¢/kWh effective September 1, 25% lower than the current 9.284¢/kWh.

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC_Default rate will be 6.254¢/kWh effective September 1, 17% lower than the current 7.514¢/kWh.

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC_Default rate will be 6.328¢/kWh effective September 1, 22% lower than the current 8.094¢/kWh.

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC_Default rate will be 6.715¢/kWh effective September 1, versus the current 7.833¢/kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC_Default rate will be 7.414¢/kWh effective September 1, versus the current 8.844¢/kWh.

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC_Default rate will be 6.016¢/kWh effective September 1, versus the current 6.777¢/kWh.

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC_Default rate will be 7.277¢/kWh effective September 1, versus the current 7.353¢/kWh.
