Utility Files to Set POR Discount Rate to 0%
Washington Gas Light has filed with the Maryland PSC updated purchase of receivables discount rates, which would set the residential POR discount rate to 0%.
Specifically, effective with the November billing cycle, the WGL POR discount rate for residential customers would decrease from 0.98% to 0%.
WGL's non-residential POR discount would remain 0%.
Both the 0% discount for residential and non-residential service reflect what would be negative discount rates under the standard discount calculation methodology, reset to 0% consistent with PSC policy.
