Several Massachusetts Municipal Aggregations Receive Approval
Several Massachusetts opt-out municipal electric aggregations have been approved by the Massachusetts DPU.
Specifically, the DPU approved the Town of Greenfield's municipal electric aggregation plan, and the Town of Natick's municipal electric aggregation plan.
Both towns' programs will be administered by Bay State Consultants and Peregrine Energy Group. In each program, the consultants will be compensated through a $0.001 per kWh fee.
The DPU granted both aggregations a waiver from the requirement applicable to retail suppliers to send quarterly price and environmental disclosure information to customers via mail. Consistent with prior aggregation orders, the DPU said that this information could be disseminated in other manners (online, etc.).
