Retail Supplier Brands Products as "Patriot Plans", Adds Stars & Stripes to Logo, Also to Launch Gas Service in New State
YEP Energy confirmed that it will be entering the Pennsylvania natural gas market, after recently obtaining a license, and rolled out a new brand and logo for its Pennsylvania electricity service.
YEP Energy received a Pennsylvania natural gas supplier license late last year to serve all customer classes at Columbia Gas of PA, UGI Utilities, Inc., UGI Central Penn Gas, Inc., UGI Penn Natural Gas, Inc., and PECO Energy Company.
"In the coming months, the people of Pennsylvania will have a one stop shop to lock in fair, fixed rate contracts for their gas and electric supply with Y.E.P.," said Mark Perrotti, SVP of Sales and Marketing for YEP Energy.
YEP also announced that, "[i]n honor of September the 11th, Y.E.P. is also introducing its low fixed rate Patriot Plans for the true consumer patriots of Pennsylvania."
The Patriot Plans include 6, 12, 18, and 24 month fixed rates.
In association with the new Patriot Plans, YEP Energy debuted a new logo, featuring red, white and blue text adorned with stars and stripes.
The Patriot Plans also have their own logo, a shield emblazoned with what we believe is a minuteman raising the American flag.
Thus far, it appears YEP Energy is only using the patriotic logo in Pennsylvania. YEP Energy also offers service in Texas, New Jersey, and California.
YEP Energy is expanding its Plant-A-Tree plans to Pennsylvania, under which, for every 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity used by a customer, a tree will be planted in a National Forest, in conjunction with the Arbor Day Foundation.
