Wholesale Energy Marketer, Native American Among Owners of Start-Up Retail Supplier; Energy Vets Fill Leadership Positions
A wholesale energy marketer and a Native American are among the owners of a start-up retail supplier, Ioway Energy, LLC.
In a FERC application for market-based rate authority, Ioway Energy, LLC states that it, "seeks to become a power marketer, purchasing electricity and reselling it to wholesale and retail customers."
On its website, Ioway Energy states that it will specialize, "in supplying reliable and economic retail electric supply to commercial and industrial entities."
Ioway Energy, LLC is owned 51% by Brad Campbell, 24.5% by Solea Energy, LLC, 12.25% by Ralph E. Taylor, and 12.25% by Ron Ryckman. Solea Energy, LLC is an electricity trading and marketing company specializing in RTO & ISO transactions across North America
Brad Campbell also serves as CEO of Ioway Energy, LLC, which is a Native American-owned supplier. Campbell is a Tribal Roll Member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska
Adam Herrman serves as President of Ioway Energy. Herrman was the Desk Manager for Energy Marketing & Power Procurement at Trademark Merchant Energy and Manager Real Time Trading & Systems Operations at Westar Energy.
Lawrence Smith serves as Manager at Ioway Energy. Smith has previously served as Director of Power Supply and Sales at Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L), and has also held senior trading and management positions at Valero Energy and Aquila Energy.
Herrman and Smith also have ownership interests in Solea Energy, LLC
