The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved the results of Dayton Power & Light's second wholesale auction that will ultimately determine its retail generation service rates through May 2017.

Under the auction, two suppliers submitted winning bids to provide electricity to DP&L for 50% of DP&L's standard service offer (SSO) load for the delivery period January 2015 through May 2017.

The auction resulted in an average clearing price of $62.08 per megawatt-hour

There were five registered bidders in the auction. Identities of the winning bidders will remain confidential for 21 days.
