Mid-Term Adjustment Causes PPL Price to Compare to Increase On October 1
PPL's Price to Compare will increase on October 1 due to changes in the transmission rate component of the price.
Prices to Compare generally change every three months (based on changes in base generation), but may change slightly in the interim due to changes in transmission rates or the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge, as is the case here.
Specifically, due to a PUC-approved change in transmission charges, PPL's residential Price to Compare will increase to 8.956 cents per kilowatt-hour on October 1, from the current 8.814 cents per kWh.
The PTC for small business customers will be 8.596 cents per kilowatt-hour starting October 1, versus the current 8.785 cents per kWh.

The new adjusted Price To Compare will be in effect until Dec. 1.
