Unitil in New Hampshire is the latest New England utility to see its winter default service rates double from the present levels, under rates now approved by the PUC.

For residential customers, the default service rate including the RPS adder will be 15.544 cents per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, an increase of 7.131 cents per kWh from the current fixed rate of 8.413 cents per kWh.

For small commercial and outdoor lighting (G2 and OL) customers, the default service rate including RPS adder will be 15.265 cents per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, an increase of 7.308 cents per kWh from the current fixed rate of 7.957 cents per kWh.

Large customer (G1) default service rates are based on monthly ISO-NE market prices.

DTE Energy Marketing, Inc. was the winning bidder for the residential supply. TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. was the winning bidder for G2 and OL supply. NextEra Energy Power Marketing was the winning bidder for G1 supply.
