Residential shopping at Commonwealth Edison declined by over 100,000 during the months of July and August, according to the latest migration data on PlugIn Illinois (data as of August 31, 2014).

Specifically, as of August 31, ComEd had 2.207 million residential customers on competitive supply, versus 2.314 million as of June 30, 2014. ComEd saw residential shopping decline by 48,000 accounts in July and over 58,000 accounts in August, reflecting the return of numerous municipal aggregations to default service.

Ameren also saw a decline in residential shopping in each rate zone during both July and August, with the monthly decline ranging from a loss of 1,500 to 8,900 depending on rate zone and month.
