Utility to Self-Serve Default Service After Procurement Attracts Zero Bidders

Another full requirements default service procurement has attracted no interested suppliers, and Connecticut Light & Power will self-manage a class of default service load this winter as a result.

CL&P reported that it did not receive any bids to serve its Last Resort Service load for the first quarter of 2015 (January 1 – March 31). As a result, CL&P will serve Last Resort Service load itself.

CL&P also reported that it has filled 100% of its Standard Service load for the first half of 2015.

The following wholesale suppliers will serve a portion of Standard Service load for the first half of 2015

Energy America, LLC
Exelon Generation Company, LLC
NextEra Power Energy Marketing, LLC
PSEG Energy Resources & Trade LLC

CL&P will also self-supply 20% of its Standard Service load for the first half of 2015
