Baltimore Gas & Electric Posts New Weighted Average SOS Rate, Summer 2015 Residential Rate to Increase

Baltimore Gas & Electric has posted on its website a new weighted average SOS rate for the period Oct. 1, 2014 through Sep. 30, 2015, which includes the summer SOS rate for 2015.

BGE recently filed new Type II SOS rates from its October procurement, but did not file tariff revisions reflecting new residential and Type I rates, for the period June 1, 2015 to September 30, 2015, as it is awaiting settlement data to shape certain Time of Use rate classes. However, this adjustment is not needed for the non-TOU rates in these SOS classes.

As a result, while BGE has not yet made a formal filing, it has posted to its website certain updated residential and Type I SOS information for the period June 1, 2015 to September 30, 2015, including the supply price (excluding Rider 8) for this class, and the new weighted average supply prices.

Specifically, BGE's electric supply comparison information is now as follows (¢/kWh):

Notes:

• Supply Rates include generation rate, transmission, and, depending on time period, Rider 8

• Supply Rate for 10/1/14 to 5/31/15 includes current values for Rider 8; values will change over period

• Supply Rate for 6/1/15 to 9/30/15 excludes Rider 8, and transmission rates may change prior to June 1, 2015

Notably, the Rate R supply rate (excluding Rider 8) is to increase to 9.453¢/kWh, from the comparable 8.975¢/kWh for summer 2014.
