Parent of Competitive Supplier Announces Elimination of 450 Positions, Primarily in Competitive Businesses
PPL Corp. announced this morning that the company expects about 450 positions to be eliminated as a result of cost reductions, primarily in the company's competitive generation business and its service organizations.
PPL said that voluntary severance offerings and elimination of vacant positions are expected to limit the number of employees leaving the company involuntarily to fewer than 200.
