NRG Energy: 20% of Texas Customers Buy More Than One Product from NRG
At the end of the third quarter, 20% of NRG Energy's Texas customers were buying more than one product from NRG, COO Mauricio Gutierrez said during an earnings call this morning.
A presentation from NRG forecasts the number of customers subscribing to multiple products and services as nearing 400,000 by year-end.
"We're gaining momentum with cross-selling in the Northeast," Mauricio Gutierrez added.
With respect to solar, Gutierrez said that NRG's home solar team has begun selling system power along with residential solar, and experienced a nearly 50% success rate in cross-selling.
By year end 2015, NRG Home Solar expects to have 35,000-40,000 installed leases, of which 25,000-30,000 are expected to be installed in 2015, totaling approximately 245 MW-280 MW while driving cost per watt down to a range of $3.20-$3.30/per watt (including overhead allocations)
