Another Utility to Self-Manage Default Service Load
United Illuminating will self-manage 100% of Last Resort Service load for the first quarter of 2015, it disclosed in a report on its recent procurement.
Presumably, the October procurement did not result in qualifying bids from full requirements providers, similar to other recent auctions in the Northeast.
UI reported that the following suppliers will serve Standard Service load for the first half of 2015: NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC, Exelon Generation Company, LLC, and TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd.
