Nearly 20% of municipal aggregation programs in Illinois have rates in excess of the "average" utility supply rate, the Citizens Utility Board said in a report on aggregation.

"More than 140 community deals had rates higher than the average utility prices," CUB states on its aggregation report page (click here).

That's about 20% of 725 communities with municipal aggregation.

CUB also said that 102 of 725 communities tracked as of Oct. 16 had ended aggregation programs
