National Grid Rhode Island Residential SOS Rate to Increase 50%

National Grid's Rhode Island residential Standard Offer Service rate is to increase about 50% to over 12¢/kWh starting January 1, 2015, per proposed rates filed with the PUC

According to a National Grid media representative, the residential SOS rate is proposed to be 12.70¢/kWh for the six-month period starting January 1, 2015.

This compares to the current SOS rate (including renewable adder) of 8.359¢/kWh.
