Oncor to Lower Priority Move-In Fee
Oncor has filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas to reduce the charge for a Priority Move-In for a Self-Contained Meter, for non-AMS meters or AMS meters without remote connect/disconnection functionality (43846).
If Oncor's request is approved, the Priority Move-In charge for these types of Self-Contained Meters would be reduced from the current $2.47 to $2.26.
"The reduction is necessitated by changes to the Pro-Forma Tariff as adopted in Project No. 41121. Due to Oncor billing system limitations, premises with a Standard Meter will be incorrectly billed for Priority Move-Ins, even though that discretionary service charge does not exist for Standard Meters, effective January 15, 2015. Changing the amount of Priority Move-Ins for a Self-Contained Meter charged to premises under sections 6.1.3.1 and 6.1.4.1 to the same amount as a Standard Move-In for a Self-Contained Meter will eliminate the need to differentiate between meter types and allow Oncor to correctly bill the tariffed charge amount for each premise," Oncor said.
Oncor proposed that the requested changes to its Tariff become effective no later than January 15, 2015.
