Maryland Opens Rulemaking on Retail Supplier Marketing Rules

The Maryland PSC formally opened a rulemaking, RM 54, to address changes to electric and natural gas supplier marketing and customer protection regulations at COMAR 20.32, 20.51, 20.53 and 20.59.

Staff previously proposed changes to the rules in a post-workgroup report, click here for proposed changes, which include a proposal for a new customer consent for any rate change

The Commission will conduct a rule making session on February 26, 2015 and February 27, 2015 (if needed).

Comments on the revised proposed regulations shall be filed by January 23, 2015.
