Adding Field for Minimum Usage Fees; Providing Variable Rate History; Creating Small Business Site Among Recommendations for Texas Power to Choose Changes
Adding a field to allow customers to sort plans based on minimum usage fees, and including variable rate history information, are among the suggestions received by Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas for changes to the Power to Choose website.
During a workshop Friday, Staff reported that it has received suggestions to add a field to the Power to Choose results page to indicate whether autopay or auto-debit is required for a plan. Staff has also received suggestions to add a field to indicate whether a plan has a minimum usage fee.
Although there is already a link for each product describing any minimum usage fee (via a pop-up dialog box), adding a field would allow customers to sort products based on the fee.
Another suggestion received by Staff is to include historic variable rate information on the site.
Staff also reported that it has received suggestions to add small business offers to Power to Chose.
