CenterPoint Energy To Refund $10 Million to Retail Providers

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric has filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas to refund to retail electric providers $10 million from an over-recovery of transition charges under TC1.

The refund results from the final reconciliation for TC1 Transition Bond which has expired

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric proposes to refund the over-collection via Rider TC Refund beginning March 1, 2015, with the refund anticipated to be exhausted in two months.

For residential customers, Rider TC Refund would be a credit of $0.001468 per kWh.

For MGS customers, Rider TC Refund would be a credit of:

$0.232045 Per kVa
$0.337074 Per kW
$0.000884 Per kWh

For LGS customers, Rider TC Refund would be a credit of:

$0.399426 Per kVa
$0.377610 Per kW
