Direct Energy Expands Rewards Program to New States

Direct Energy has expanded its rewards program outside of Texas, and now offers the program to residential customers in all of its U.S. energy markets.

As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Direct Energy launched the rewards program last fall, and initially offered it to Texas customers.

Now Direct Energy has expanded the rewards program to all of its U.S. markets, for both electricity and gas.

The rewards program includes the following options, from which the customer may select one:

Direct Energy Rewards: gift cards to a variety of retailers, movie tickets, and free electricity

Family Rewards: gift cards to Chick-Fil-A, Target, Toys "R" Us, & more

Travel Rewards: gift cards to Starwood Hotels and Resorts, American Airlines, Jet Blue, and a host of other airlines and hotels

Shopper's Rewards: gift cards to Walmart, Nordstrom, Amazon, and other places shoppers love

More specifically, the rewards for consecutive on-time bill payments under each program are as follows:

Direct Energy Rewards

6 months

Pay your bill for 6 consecutive months for your choice of 2 movie tickets or a $50 gift card to Restaurant.com.

12 months

Pay your bill for 12 consecutive months for your choice of a $20 gift card to Target or VISA.

18 months

Pay your bill for 18 consecutive months for your choice of a $15 gift card to Wal-Mart or Red Envelope.

24 months

Pay your bill for 24 consecutive months and receive a FREE month of electricity/gas (This reward will be distributed as a check with a cap of $50).

Family Rewards

6 months

Pay your bill for 6 consecutive months for your choice of a $10 gift card to Amazon or Chick-Fil-A.

12 months

Pay your bill for 12 consecutive months for your choice of a $20 gift card to Target or Spa Finder.

18 months

Pay your bill for 18 consecutive months for your choice of a $10 gift card to Nordstrom or Toys "R" Us.

24 months

Pay your bill for 24 consecutive months for your choice of a $20 gift card to Nordstrom, Toys "R" Us, or Sephora.

Travel Rewards

6 Months

Pay your bill for 6 consecutive months for your choice of a $10 gift card to Southwest, United, American Airlines, Jet Blue, Marriott, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, or the Wyndham Hotel Group.

12 Months

Pay your bill for 12 consecutive months for your choice of a $20 gift card to Southwest, United, American Airlines, Jet Blue, Marriott, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, or the Wyndham Hotel Group.

This rewards cycle will then repeat itself every 12 months

Shopper's Rewards

6 Months

Pay your bill for 6 consecutive months for your choice of a $10 gift card to Amazon, Macy's, Nordstrom, Walmart, or TJ Maxx.

12 Months

Pay your bill for 12 consecutive months for your choice of a $20 gift card to Amazon, Macy's, Nordstrom, Walmart, or TJ Maxx.

This rewards cycle will then repeat itself every 12 months, unless you choose to change rewards programs.
