SouthStar Energy Services Reports Customer Count, Volumes

AGL Resources filed a 10-K for fiscal 2014, which included data related to SouthStar Energy Services' customer count and volumes.

For the year-ending December 31, 2014, SouthStar Energy Services' average customer count was 628,000, versus 619,000 a year ago.

For reference, SouthStar Energy Services' average customer count for the three months ending September 30, 2014 was 619,000.

SouthStar Energy Services maintained a 31% market share in Georgia.

SouthStar Energy Services volumes were for the year ending December 31, 2014 as follows (in Bcf):

AGL Resources' Retail segment, including SouthStar Energy Services as well as its warranty/service contract business, reported EBIT of $132 million for the fiscal year 2014, equal to 2013 results for the segment.

For the quarter ending December 31, 2014, the Retail segment recorded lower EBIT of $30 million, versus $46 million a year ago, due to $16 million of mark-to-market hedge losses and Lower of Cost or Market impacts that are expected to be recaptured in 2015
