Flash: Direct Energy Residential Supply Customer Count in Texas, US Northeast Slides By 150,000

Direct Energy saw its residential energy supply customer count fall in both Texas and the U.S. Northeast from June 30, 2014 to December 31, 2014, parent Centrica said in reporting earnings this morning.

Specifically, Direct Energy saw its residential energy supply customer count decrease by 35,000 in Texas from June 30, 2014 to December 31, 2014, and by 114,000 in the U.S. Northeast from June 30, 2014 to December 31, 2014.

This contrasts with growth in the residential energy supply book for both regions during the first half of 2014.
