Residential Prices to Compare at Met-Ed and Penelec will increase about 10% on March 1, 2015.

At Met-Ed, the residential Price to Compare will increase about 13% to 7.9¢/kWh, from the current 6.99¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

Though the FirstEnergy utilities have filed new PTC-Default tariffs with the PUC, they have not yet posted the new Prices to Compare on their customer-facing website. The PTC-Default rates do not reflect the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge, which is included in the official Prices to Compare such as those listed on PA Power Switch.

Please note that due to rounding or other convention, the PA Power Switch site may provide a Price to Compare that is a few hundredths of a cent off of what the official PTC is (for example, the FirstEnergy website lists the current West Penn Power GS-20 PTC as 7.89¢/kWh, but this is shown as 7.90¢/kWh on PA Power Switch).

At Penelec, the residential Price to Compare will increase about 9% to 6.92¢/kWh, from the current 6.35¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

At West Penn Power, the residential Price to Compare will decrease to 5.3¢/kWh, from the current 6.28¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

PA Power Switch does not show an actual PTC for Penn Power residential customers for the period starting March 1. The tariffed PTC-Default rate (prior to the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge) for residential customers at Penn Power starting March 1 is 5.754¢/kWh

At Met-Ed, for GM - General Service Medium Demand Metered and GS - General Service Small Non-Demand Metered customers, the Price to Compare will increase to 7.98¢/kWh, from 7.74¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

At Penelec, for GM - General Service Medium Demand Metered and GS - General Service Small Non-Demand Metered customers, the Price to Compare will increase to 7.98¢/kWh, from 7.55¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

At West Penn Power, for GS-20 (General Service Schedule 20) customers, the Price to Compare will decrease to 6.67¢/kWh, from 7.9¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.

At Penn Power, for GS - General Service Small (under 50kW) customers, the Price to Compare will decrease to 7.17¢/kWh, from 7.49¢/kWh, as listed on PA Power Switch.
