PUC Staff Requests Delay in Filing Retail Market Improvement Report
Staff of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio have asked that the Commission extend until May 11, 2015, the deadline for a report on certain potential retail market enhancements.
PUCO, in its retail market investigation order, had directed Staff with facilitating a discussion within the Market Development Working Group (MDWG) to develop an operational plan that implements either a statewide seamless move, contract portability, instant connect, or a warm transfer process. The Commission at that time noted that the operational plan should account for the Commission's preference for permitting shopping customers to maintain their status as shopping customers
"Staff has been actively working towards meeting this deadline, however, more time is needed to prepare the Staff Report. Staff therefore requests that the deadline be extended by 45 days to May 11, 2015, which would provide an adequate amount of time to prepare and file the Staff Report," Staff said in its request
