Regulator to Examine Retail Supplier's Minimum Usage Requirement, Marketing

The Connecticut PURA has re-opened the licensing docket of Palmco Power CT, LLC to examine the supplier's marketing and solicitation practices as they relate to "minimum usage requirements" allegedly cited by Palmco.

PURA said that recently the Authority received several customer complaints alleging that Palmco marketed to, and solicited customers, but subsequently rejected those customers because they, "did not meet Palmco's minimum usage requirements."

Palmco provided the following statement to EnergyChoiceMatters.com:

"We will cooperate with the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, but at this time we have yet to receive any detail. We're committed to our Connecticut customers at PALMco, which means we always put great service and customer satisfaction first."
