Texas REP Granted Use of Trade Name Texans Energy

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Mega Energy, LP an amendment to its Texas retail electric provider certificate to add the trade name Texans Energy. The order erroneously lists the d/b/a as "Texas Energy," but name for which approval was sought, and which PUCT Staff recommended approval, was "Texans Energy."

Texas REP Files To Relinquish Unused Certificate

Cirro Group Inc. filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas to relinquish REP Certificate No. 10034, which is no longer used to serve customers. All Cirro Group Inc. customers were previously moved to US Retailers, LLC d/b/a Cirro Energy, another retail electric provider owned by NRG Energy which added the Cirro trade name to its certificate (#10177) last summer. Cirro Group Inc. said in its filing that it is not ceasing all business, only its retail electric service operations.
