New York Sets Collaborative on ESCO Service to Low-Income Assistance Customers, Faster Gas Switching
The New York PSC has scheduled for April 17 a collaborative to continue discussions on the following issues concerning the provision of services by ESCOs:
• Defining the energy-related value-added products and services that must be provided to Assistance Program Participants (APP)
• Considering available technologies and mechanisms for implementing point-of-sale confirmation of APP customers;
• Considering how best to protect existing APP customers
• Determining whether and how to shorten the enrollment for gas suppliers and to effectuate off-cycle switching.
