CenterPoint TDU Files Amounts for New DCRF Charge Applicable to Retail Providers

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric has filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas its application for a Distribution Cost Recovery Factor (DCRF), a new rider which will be charged to retail electric providers for certain distribution costs not reflected in base rates.

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric filed to implement the following DCRF charges applicable to REPs:

Residential Service            $0.000309 per kWh
Secondary Service ≤ 10 kVA     $0.000410 per kWh
Secondary Service > 10 kVA     $0.051512 per Billing kVA
Primary Service                $0.022684 per Billing kVA
Transmission Service           $0.001012 per 4CP kVA
Lighting Services              $0.004337 per kWh

Consistent with Commission PUCT Substantive Rule 25.243(e)(6)(C), CenterPoint Houston requested a system-wide effective date for its DCRF rates of September 1, 2015.
