Green Mountain Energy Launches Service in Two New States

Green Mountain Energy officially announced its launch of residential electric service in New Jersey and Massachusetts

Green Mountain Energy's expansion of residential service to Massachusetts, with service at Nstar, had been exclusively reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last month.

Green Mountain Energy said that it would expand Massachusetts residential service to National Grid and Western Massachusetts Electric Company in May.

In New Jersey, Green Mountain Energy is currently offering residential service at Jersey Central Power & Light, and will extend residential service to Public Service Electric and Gas and Rockland Electric later this month.

Green Mountain Energy also said that it would also expand residential service at Potomac Edison in Maryland later this month.

At JCP&L in New Jersey, Green Mountain is offering residential customers the following 100% wind plans (cents per kWh):

6 Months Fixed, 100% Wind:         10.914¢
12 Months Fixed, 100% Wind:        11.449¢
Monthly Variable, 100% Wind:       10.486¢

The 6 month product includes a $100 early termination fee, and the 12 month product includes a $150 early termination fee.

Green Mountain Energy said that it would be offering customers the opportunity to enroll at the New Jersey Spring Wine Festival and at the XPoNential Music Festival in New Jersey.
