Reporting by Paul Ring • ring@energychoicematters.com

The Public Utility Commission of Texas has approved Sharyland Utilities, LP's application to make certain refunds to retail electric providers for failing to meet various service quality metrics.

Under the order, $50 is due to each of 535 ESI IDs on a feeder which failed to meet a service quality metric. A dozen retail electric providers have agreed to pass on this $50 to their customers.

Additionally, for failing to meet the metric for its system-wide System Average Interruption Duration Index, Sharyland will credit $0.37 on each Texas SET 810 invoice to the REP of record for each of the utility's 52,736 accounts, with the credit to be made by June 1, 2015.
