Reporting by Paul Ring • ring@energychoicematters.com

Clearview Electric, Inc. would make a $7,500 charitable contribution to Operation Fuel under a settlement with Connecticut PURA prosecutorial staff to resolve alleged violations related to the requirement to timely file a gross revenue report.

PURA had alleged that Clearview failed to timely file its 2012 gross revenues report in accordance with Conn. Gen. Stat. §16-49.

The settlement would fully resolve the matter.

Clearview Electric provided the following statement to EnergyChoiceMatters.com:

"When presented with the facts, both Clearview and PURA determined that no wrongdoing had been done by either party. However, Clearview Energy is pleased to support the work of Operation Fuel. There are many families and small businesses unable to pay for their electricity services. We are proud to help these families remain safe and healthy by ensuring they continue to have utility service. For information about Operation Fuel, Inc., please visit their website at www.operationfuel.org."
