Dynegy Sees Itself Expanding Retail Book Through Acquisitions
Dynegy sees itself as best suited to be an integrator, "and to look at, probably, expanding our book of business through acquisitions," as opposed to organic growth, Sheree Petrone, Executive Vice President-Retail at Dynegy, said during DNV GL's Retail Energy Executive Forum
Petrone said that before Dynegy would move into new retail markets, the market structure would have to "work," specifically pointing to examples of generation subsidies sought by the owners of formerly incumbent assets in Illinois and Ohio as something which does not work.
Retail will follow the generation footprint, Petrone said
