Update: CL&P Default Service Rates To Fall By One-Third

After announcing an average rate on Friday, Connecticut Light & Power has filed specific new default service rates for the period beginning July 1, 2015, with the residential rate set to fall by one-third.

The July 1, 2015 CL&P residential (Rate 1) supply rate will be 8.228¢/kWh. The current CL&P Rate 1 supply rate is 12.629¢/kWh.

Below are CL&P's new rates, which reflect the bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge of 0.030¢/kWh.
