Illinois Posts New Ameren Price to Compare, Confirms 30% Increase

The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted new Prices to Compare for Ameren for the period beginning June 1, 2015.

Though the base default service energy rates had previously been filed in tariff form (as previously reported here), official Prices to Compare had not previously been posted.

The new Ameren residential Prices to Compare are as follows:

June - September 2015 (¢/kWh)
Rate Zone I          5.974
Rate Zone II         5.911
Rate Zone III        5.966

As previously reported, the new residential Prices to Compare are nearly 30% higher than the current PTC, which for May was about 4.5¢/kWh, depending on rate zone.

Additionally, the ICC has posted estimates of the residential PTCs for the period October 2015 to May 2016. A subsequent procurement event will determine the final PTCs for this period.
