The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority will begin conducting outreach events on electricity issues including electric choice, PURA staff reported at a recent supplier workgroup meeting

The focus of the public outreach events will be on customer electric bills and the PURA Rate Board.

Stakeholders suggested that PURA review the Pennsylvania outreach model, and PURA will look at best practices as it moves forward with its consumer outreach efforts.

Separately, PURA informed suppliers that the Authority is developing a webpage regarding the enrollment process, with information for customers enrolling with a supplier from Standard Service and for customers who are moving from supplier-to-supplier.

PURA said that consumers are being provided vague information about the time it takes to switch suppliers. The information being developed by the Authority is intended to provide a consistent message about the enrollment process.
