Dynegy Sets "Priority" States for Retail Expansion
During an investor day last week, Dynegy outlined growth plans for its retail electric supply business.
Although much focus will be on growing existing markets particularly Illinois, Dynegy also listed target states for retail expansion, under a "disciplined" approach.
"Priority states under evaluation," for retail expansion include Pennsylvania and New Jersey
"Secondary States Under Evaluation," for retail expansion include New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Dynegy listed the evaluation criteria for retail expansion as including, among other factors, its ownership of significant generation length to back retail sales, and the presence of opt-out municipal aggregation.
