PSC Selects POLR For New Term

The Georgia PSC recently selected SCANA Energy Marketing, Inc. as the regulated provider for a term of September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2017.

SCANA Energy Marketing, Inc. serves as the current regulated provider in the AGL market.

The PSC issued an RFP to select the regulated provider, and the PSC said that in response to the RFP, Gas South, LLC, Constellation, Georgia Natural Gas, and SCANA Energy Marketing submitted pre-qualification data. "A bid was received on December 10, 2014," the PSC said.

Based on the response to the RFP, the PSC selected a $57 pre-payment from the Universal Service Fund rate plan for Group 1 customers, and selected SCANA Energy Marketing's "basic" rate plan for Group 2 customers.

Commission Staff and SCANA Energy Marketing will negotiate in good faith a consent agreement that details the terms and conditions of the 2015-2017 regulated provider pursuant to the initial bid response.
