ERCOT Receives Notice of Mothballing, Re-activation of Plants
ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resources:
• Luminant Generation Company LLC Martin Lake Unit 1 (MLSES_UNIT1)
• Luminant Generation Company LLC Martin Lake Unit 2 (MLSES_UNIT 2)
The NSO indicates that these two units will be mothballed on a seasonal basis, with a Seasonal Operation Period that begins on May 15 and ends on September 30 each year. The proposed effective date for the suspension of MLSES_UNIT 1 is January 1, 2016. The proposed effective date for the suspension of MLSES_UNIT 2 is October 1, 2015.
Separately, ERCOT received a Notification of Change of Generation Resource Designation (NCGRD) for the following Generation Resource with an effective date of October 1, 2015: Luminant Generation Company LLC Martin Lake Unit 3 (MLSES_UNIT3)
The NCGRD states that this seasonally Mothballed Generation Resource will change its designation to operational as of October 1, 2015.
