New Political Subdivision Corp. Seeking to Aggregate Texas Municipal Loads
Texas Public Energy Alliance applied for a Texas electric aggregator certificate as a political subdivision corporation aggregating political subdivisions.
The Texas Public Energy Alliance describes itself on its website as, "a non-profit political subdivision corporation created by local governments to save Texas public entities on their energy costs through a strong market presence, vigorous competition and favorable contract terms uniquely tailored to our Member needs."
Types of customers to be aggregated include school districts, municipalities, municipal utility districts, counties, colleges, and other political subdivisions.
The Texas Public Energy Alliance website states that it, "utilizes the vast experience of Van Brunt & Associates, Inc.," to manage the energy procurement and cost management needs of its members.

In addition to supply procurement, Texas Public Energy Alliance will provide 4CP notification service and various energy reports and market data.
