Texas REP Responds to Staff Concerns Over Use of New Trade Name
TriEagle Energy LP has filed a response to apparent concerns raised by Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas regarding TriEagle's application to add the trade name Energy Rewards to its REP certificate.
Energy Rewards is the brand for retail energy offerings from Comcast supplied by TriEagle's parent, Crius Energy
According to TriEagle's response, a PUCT Staff member requested that TriEagle Energy provide assurance that if the PUCT approves TriEagle Energy's requested use of the Energy Rewards trade name, TriEagle Energy would not take any legal action against utilities that utilize energy reward programs that encourage energy conservation and use the term "energy rewards."
"TriEagle Energy can confirm that it will not take any legal action against utilities that utilize energy reward programs that encourage energy conservation solely due to their use of the term "energy rewards" in describing or naming their products," TriEagle said
