Texas Generator Would Pay $120,000 Under Settlement With PUC Staff
Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. would pay $120,000 under a settlement with Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to resolve allegations that Brazos failure to adhere to Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Protocols § 8.5.1.1 and ERCOT Operating Guide §§ 2.2.8 and 2.3.1.2, relating to primary frequency response (PFR).
Brazos is the Resource Entity (RE) that represents the Generation Resource JACKCNTY_CC1.
According to the settlement, the Generation Resource JACKCNTY_CC1 failed to provide adequate PFR during 16 of 29 measureable events during a Texas Reliability Entity Study Period, including 16 failures while providing Responsive Reserve Service (RRS).
