Parent of Texas REP Hires Energy Market Vet To Help Lead National Expansion

Enchanted Rock, Ltd., a distributed energy developer and service provider, announced that senior energy executive Robert Cauthen has joined its leadership team as a partner.

As recently reported by Matters, Enchanted Rock is the parent of new Texas Option 2 retail provider Electranet Power, LLC (click here for more) Cauthen will help ERock develop new and innovative value-added product offerings for Texas microgrid customers.

Additionally, Cauthen will establish the necessary commodity interfaces in both regulated and deregulated regions as ERock enters all North American markets with its patented microgrid offering, the company said.

In a 20-year career in energy markets, Cauthen has served in senior leadership positions at Calpine (Vice President), Bear Sterns Energy/JP Morgan, and Mercuria (managing director at the latter two). At Bear Stearns Energy, he was part of the team that acquired Williams Power Company and was responsible for the commercial integration of the $500 million deal.

Cauthen began his career in 1996 as an analyst with Enron and then moved into the role of Manager of Trading with Statoil Energy in 1998.
