TXU Parent Residential Customer Count Dips, C&I Growth Continues
Energy Future Holdings, parent of TXU Energy and 4Change Energy, saw a decline in its residential customer count during the three months ended June 30, 2015, but saw growth in small business customers.
EFH's retail suppliers saw their residential customer count decline by 8,000 customers from March 31, 2015 to June 30, 2015.
This contrasts to the net growth of 4,000 residential customers from December 31, 2014 to March 31, 2015.
EFH had seen a net loss of 3,000 residential customers from September 30, 2014 to December 31, 2014; a net loss of 9,000 residential customers from June 30, 2014 to September 30, 2014; and net increase of 5,000 residential customers from March 31, 2014 to June 30, 2014.
As of June 30, 2015, EFH retail companies were serving 1.495 million residential customers, versus 1.503 million as of March 31, 2015, and 1.511 million a year ago
EFH retail companies were serving 177,000 small business meters (< 1 MW) as of June 30, 2015, versus 175,000 as of March 31, 2015, and 177,000 a year ago.
EFH retail companies were serving 27,000 large business meters as of June 30, 2015, which was flat versus March 31, 2015 and up from 20,000 a year ago.
Total customer count for the EFH retail companies was 1.699 million as of June 30, 2015, versus 1.705 million as of March 31, 2015 and 1.708 million a year ago.
Total EFH retail provider electric volumes for the quarter ending June 30, 2015 were 9,788 GWh, versus 9,113 GWh a year ago. Of the June 30, 2015 total, 4,990 GWh were residential volumes.
Total EFH retail electricity revenues were $1.051 billion for the quarter ending June 30, 2015
