N.Y. Staff Request Extension on Proposal For Implementing New Rules for ESCO Service to Low-Income Customers

New York PSC Staff have requested an extension of the August 5, 2015 deadline to file a report regarding certain aspects surrounding the provision of service by ESCOs to low-income assistance program participants. Staff requested an extension up to and including November 5, 2015 as necessary to continue the collaborative process with stakeholders and prepare a report in compliance with the Commission’s prior directive.

Maryland Sets Rulemaking Session on Supplier Contract Verification, Marketing Rules

The Maryland PSC will conduct a rulemaking session on September 10, 2015 and, if needed, continuing on September 11, 2015 concerning new electric and natural gas supplier contract verification and marketing rules. As only reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the latest draft rule would establish new notification requirement for rate changes, and would address permissible forms of customer consent for a contract (click here for our story).
