New Retail Provider To Enter Georgia Market
Crius Energy, through its Energy Rewards brand offered through Comcast, intends to enter the Georgia natural gas market, it said on a recent earnings call.
As reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this week, Crius announced that Energy Rewards would launch in Texas by the fourth quarter of this year, and further told investors that the Comcast-focused supplier would launch in California, for natural gas, by year-end.
Crius executives also said that the company would "rapidly" expand the Energy Rewards brand to remaining Comcast markets where energy choice is available, with all markets to be covered by the end of 2016
That expansion for Energy Rewards specifically includes Georgia, where Crius does not currently have any presence with any of its retail brands, executives said during an earnings call
Asked about states with energy choice where Comcast operates but Crius currently does not, Crius Energy CEO Michael Fallquist said, "In terms of incremental states where they [Comcast] provide service that we're not licensed, there's only one that comes to mind and that's Georgia gas, so that would be the last state we need to add in order to execute on that strategy [of offering service in all Comcast areas open to energy choice]."
