Start-up Texas REP Launches Service With 3.5¢ Power To Choose-Listed Rate
Infuse Energy, which received its REP certificate last year, has begun publicly posting offers on the Texas Power to Choose site, for the Oncor, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, AEP Texas Central, AEP Texas North, Texas-New Mexico Power, and Sharyland Utilities, LP service areas.
Currently on Power to Choose, Infuse Energy is listing a 3-month fixed rate and two variable rates (standard and renewable power); however, a variety of additional fixed term lengths (up to 24 months) are available through Infuse Energy's website
In the Oncor service area, at 1,000 kWh usage, the average all-in rate of Infuse Energy's 3-month fixed rate plan is 3.5¢/kWh, reflecting an energy charge of 5.353¢/kWh, a Base Charge of $1.50 per billing cycle, a $4.95 minimum usage fee if monthly usage is below 500 kWh; a $60 usage credit if monthly usage is equal to or greater than 1,000 kWh and less than 2,001 kWh, and a pass-through of TDU charges. The average all-in rate is 10.2¢/kWh at 500 kWh usage and 6.2¢/kWh at 2,000 kWh usage.
In the CenterPoint-TDU service area, at 1,000 kWh usage, the average all-in rate of Infuse Energy's 3-month fixed rate plan is 3.7¢/kWh, reflecting an energy charge of 5.136¢/kWh, a Base Charge of $1.50 per billing cycle, a $4.95 minimum usage fee if monthly usage is below 500 kWh; a $60 usage credit if monthly usage is equal to or greater than 1,000 kWh and less than 2,001 kWh, and a pass-through of TDU charges. The average all-in rate is 10.4¢/kWh at 500 kWh usage and 6.3¢/kWh at 2,000 kWh usage.
