PA Power Switch Now Listing Past Prices On Site
PA Power Switch has begun listing past electric default service rates on the site when presenting customers with the list of current electric supplier offers available
Specifically, visitors may select a tab to see the EDC's prior default service rates, for an approximately two-year period. Prices are presented on a line chart, with customers able to hover over specific price points with their mouse, which will bring up the specific default service rate for that time.
PA Power Switch informs visitors that, "Under the law, an EDC's PTC may be adjusted quarterly but is not seasonal. An EDC develops its PTC based on what the company pays for electricity during auctions held over a two-year period on the wholesale energy market."
PA Power Switch has long offered a future estimate of the default service rate (where available).
