Massachusetts Natural Gas Utilities File Lower Supply Rates Versus Last Winter
Several Massachusetts natural gas utilities filed natural gas default service rates for the winter season which are lower than the year-ago rates
Eversource (Nstar) said that it has proposed before the DPU a November 1 Cost of Gas Adjustment of 51.71 cents per therm, down from last November’s rate of 74.43 cents.
For National Grid-Boston Gas residential and small, medium, and large C&I customers, the November 1 Gas Supply Charge (Peak Gas Adjustment Factor) is proposed to be $0.5334 per therm (versus $0.67 a year ago)
For Boston Gas extra large C&I customers, the commodity portion of the Gas Supply Charge is proposed to be $0.3639 per therm, and the demand portion of the Gas Supply Charge is proposed to be $2.0480 per MDCQ therm
For National Grid-Colonial Gas residential and small, medium, and large C&I customers, the November 1 Gas Supply Charge is proposed to be $0.5287 per therm (versus $0.67 a year ago).
